Social Event - September 12th 2022 -

The Welcome Party and the Open Air Music Concert will take place on September 12th, 2022 at San Giovanni Park (https://bestoftrieste.com/2018/05/02/parco-di-san-giovanni/) starting from 20:15.

Trieste's cuisine reflects the human and historical reality of Trieste, which for centuries has welcomed the most diverse people and culinary traditions into its bosom. This diversity has given rise to a particularly varied and flavorful cuisine that has admirably combined Central European, Balkan and Mediterranean gastronomy.

The on-premise buffet dinner will be organized by the social Cooperative “Il Posto delle Fragole” (https://www.ilpostodellefragole.eu/)

The wind quintet, created with the aim of popularizing wind music, formed by the first parts of the Pihalni Orkester Ricmanje and its director will perform on the open air stage of the Basaglia Theatre.

The Pihalni Orkester Ricmanje (https://www.bandamusicale.it/bande/italia/friuli/trieste/sandorligodellavalle/sandorligodellavalle.php) regularly participates in the Viktor Ullmann Festival, the only festival in Europe dedicated to concentration music (so defined because it was composed in concentration camps and ghettos) and to degenerate music (the music forbidden in Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy because it was considered decadent and harmful). The intent of the festival is to rediscover those musical pages in order to revive the creative genius of their composers and reflect on the Shoah from a different point of view.

The Pihalni Orkester Ricmanje it plays a wide repertoire ranging from classical to contemporary and light music, with Sara Clanzig (flute), Marco Bernini (oboe), Erik Kuret (clarinet), Federico Lamba (horn), Aljoša Tavčar (bassoon).
